Dr. Justin Rogers is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University (B.A. in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in New Testament Greek; M.A. in New Testament) and Hebrew Union College—Jewish Institute of Religion (M.Phil; Ph.D). Since 2010 he has served as a professor and administrator at Freed-Hardeman, currently holding the position of Dean over the College of Biblical Studies. Justin has served in ministry for more than 20 years, working with congregations in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. He currently serves as the pulpit minister for the Broad Street Church of Christ in Lexington, TN. In addition, Justin serves on the Advisory Board of Western Kentucky Youth Camp and on the Board of Directors for Lads2Leaders. Justin is the author of more than 250 articles, essays, books, and other publications. In addition to preaching, teaching, and writing in service to the church, Justin is heavily involved in academic research, particularly on the works of Philo of Alexandria (ca. 15 BCE–AD 45). He currently serves as program unit chair for the Society of Biblical Literature’s Philo of Alexandria Seminar. He also serves on the executive board for the International Philo Bibliography Project and is a member of the editorial board of the Studia Philonica Annual and the Studia Philonica Monographs series. In addition to these roles, Justin currently serves as book review editor for the Studia Philonica Annual and is an elected member of the Gifts and Awards committee in the North American Patristics Society. Justin and his wife Ashli have been married since 2006, and have three children: Caleb, Chelsea, and Camryn.
