Rick Brumback

Professor of Bible and Historical Theology
Rick Brumback serves as Professor of Bible and Historical Theology and is the Earl D. Edwards Director of the Graduate School of Theology at Freed-Hardeman University. He also preaches for the Christian Chapel Church of Christ in Wildersville, Tennessee. Prior to joining FHU in 2017, Rick served for ten years as Director for the Southwest School of Bible Studies (SWSBS). He has also participated in foreign campaigns in Central America, the Czech Republic, Romania, Jamaica, and Cambodia. He is a 1996 graduate of SWSBS and holds a Ph.D. in Historical Theology from Baylor University. Prior to becoming a Gospel preacher, Rick was a Research Physicist with the USAF High Explosive Research and Development (HERD) Facility, Eglin AFB, Florida. He is very happily married to Lieh, and they have five great kids—Catherine and husband Steven, Philip and wife Raelynn, and Edmund, as well as granddaughters Nathalie and Winnie Mae.
